The structure design for the ark is based on ark specialist Tim Lovett's studies of ancient ships (www.worldwideflood.com). This was one of my first oil paintings.

This is my first landscape. I was inspired to paint this scene when I was at Addison County Fair & Field Days. The storm clouds were very dramatic that evening.
