Oil on canvas, 22 x 28 inches, 2008. The structure design for the ark is based on ark specialist Tim Lovett's studies of ancient ships (www.worldwideflood.com). This was one of my first oil paintings.

About the Artist
Gregory Michael Iocco
Born and raised in western Michigan. Greg moved to Vermont in 2001. He spent much of his childhood drawing pictures. His parents recognized his God-given talent and instilled in his young life the determination to teach himself. His appreciation for art strengthened as he matured. When he was thirteen years old, Greg received his first commissions for pen & ink technical drawings of houses, and the following year he collaborated with his younger brother, Ben, to illustrate his first book. Throughout his teen years and into early adulthood, Greg excelled as a pen & ink artist. But in December of 2007 he began experimenting with watercolor and oil paints, and in autumn 2008 Greg completed his first landscape oil painting entitled "Summer Storm". One year later, in August 2009, Greg participated in the 23rd Reflections on Basin Harbor Art Show, where his painting "The Lodge at Basin Harbor" was the 2009 choice for the Basin Harbor Club art collection. Greg enjoys reading, playing his violin and researching his family's genealogy. He is fond of history and archaeology, and absolutely loves illustrated children's books.
